This research, led by CEA/IRAMIS in collaboration with STMicroelectronics, NaMLab, Munich University of Applied Sciences, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory – Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), provides new insights into reliable quantification of oxygen vacancies in hafnia-based ferroelectric materials.

The work was funded by the French ANR project “D3PO” and the AFOSR project “GO-FERRO.”

Although this reasearch is not part of the Ferro4EdgeAI project, this study is highly relevant to our objectives, enhancing the understanding of ferroelectric hafnia materials that underpin next-generation, energy-efficient AI hardware.
